Tasks & Bosses
Introduction
Tasks and Bosses

The Task and Boss System is one of the main progression features in Inferna74. It provides players with a repeatable source of challenges, rewards, and unique equipment while encouraging both solo and group gameplay.

By completing monster tasks, players earn special tokens that can be used to challenge powerful bosses. These bosses offer exclusive loot, Boss Points, and some of the most valuable rewards available in the game.

Unlike many traditional task systems, the goal is not to reward players with experience, but rather to create a long-term progression path centered around challenging encounters and meaningful rewards.

Tasks
How to Start a Task

Tasks can be accepted directly through the client interface.

There is no need to speak with any NPC to start a task.

Each player can have up to three active tasks at the same time, allowing them to progress on multiple objectives simultaneously.

Task Rewards

Tasks do not grant experience upon completion.

Instead, every completed task rewards a special Boss Token. The type of token received depends on the difficulty and level range of the monster associated with the task.

The available token types are:

  • Bronze TokenBronze Token – Rookie and Rookgaard-related tasks.
  • Silver TokenSilver Token – Low and mid-level tasks.
  • Gold TokenGold Token – Mid and high-level tasks.
  • Platinum TokenPlatinum Token – Group-oriented content designed for four players.
  • Titanium TokenTitanium Token – Endgame content intended for level 100+ players.
Repeatable Tasks

All tasks are completely repeatable.

Players can complete the same task as many times as they wish and will always receive the corresponding token reward.

This allows players to continuously farm tokens and challenge bosses on a regular basis.

Bosses
Accessing the Bosses

To access the Boss System, travel to the Edron Depot.

There you will find a teleport that leads to the Boss Room, where all available bosses can be challenged.

Each boss requires a specific token in order to enter its encounter. Once the required token is consumed, players may enter the boss fight.

Boss Rewards

Each boss offers unique rewards and valuable loot.

Many of these items are extremely rare and some can only be obtained from a specific boss encounter.

In addition to loot, defeating a boss automatically grants Boss Points.

Boss Points can be spent in the Boss Shop, where players will find:

  • Powerful equipment.
  • Useful utility items.
  • Exclusive rewards available nowhere else in the game.

Unlike tokens, Boss Points are bound to the player who earned them and cannot be traded or transferred. Tokens, however, can be freely bought and sold between players.

Boss Difficulty

Every boss is designed to be unique.

Bosses feature different mechanics and strategies, requiring players to learn the encounter rather than simply relying on character level or equipment.

The intention is for boss fights to be challenging and rewarding. Because of this, it is completely normal to fail during your first attempts while learning the mechanics.

Many bosses are designed to require coordination, preparation, and experience before they can be defeated consistently.

Death Protection

Since bosses are intentionally difficult, players are not punished with traditional death penalties during these encounters.

If you die while fighting a boss, you will not lose:

  • Experience.
  • Equipment.
  • Backpack contents.

The only thing lost is the token that was consumed to enter the encounter. This allows players to focus on learning boss mechanics without the frustration of losing progress.

Boss Cooldown System

Players may challenge bosses as many times as they want, provided they have enough tokens.

However, there is an important mechanic to keep in mind.

The first boss entry costs the normal amount of tokens. If you enter any boss again within the next 20 hours, the token cost will be doubled.

For example:

  • First Silver Boss attempt = 1 Silver Token.
  • Second boss attempt within 20 hours = 2 Tokens.

This cooldown is shared across all bosses. For example, if you defeat a Silver Token Boss and then attempt a Gold Token Boss before 20 hours have passed, the Gold Boss will also require double tokens.

Once the 20-hour period expires, all boss entries return to their normal token cost.

Summary

The Task and Boss System follows a simple progression path:

  1. Accept tasks through the client interface.
  2. Complete tasks to earn Boss Tokens.
  3. Use tokens to challenge bosses.
  4. Defeat bosses to obtain rare loot and Boss Points.
  5. Spend Boss Points in the Boss Shop to acquire powerful and exclusive rewards.

By continuously completing tasks and mastering boss encounters, players will gain access to some of the best equipment and rewards available in Inferna74.
